Pakistan women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket team by 6 wickets in the first T20 match.
Batting first at the South End Cricket Stadium, the Sri Lankan cricket team on Pakistan scored 106 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In reply, Pakistan’s women’s cricket team achieved the target in the 19th over when 4 batsmen were out.
For Pakistan, Nada Dar was the top scorer with 36 runs, Badma Maroof with 28 runs while Iram Javed and Muneeb Ali with 18 runs each.
From Sri Lanka, Oshadi Rana Singh led the way with two wickets while Koisha Dilhari and Sagandika Kumari led the way with one each.
Earlier, Harshitha Madavi and Neelakshi de Silva scored 25 runs each for Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s Tobia Hassan bowled brilliantly in her debut match, dismissing three wickets for eight runs in four overs.
Anam Amin gave away 21 runs in four overs for 3 while Ayman Anwar gave away 32 runs in four overs.
